Pry open the grate, and climb down

You slowly climb down the gate into an eerie storm drain. You smell something familiar, but can't quite place where you've smelt it before. You cautiously take a few steps into the drain, and hear a squelching noise. There's mud all over the floor, and you finally realized what the familiar stench is. Blood. There's blood all over the walls, and blood tracked on the floor, leading into a small ventilation shaft on the side of the wall. Your pulse quickens. You hear footsteps, you are not alone.
