You feel the tentacle thrashing against your face, but for some reason this does not alarm you. Instead, you are reminded of a beautiful song.
You sing the song in a deep, almost monotone voice:
"Don't cry little child you'll be okay" "Daddy's going to buy you a puppy today" "when that puppy sees you weak" "He will try to lick your face"
You pause for a while. The song feels strange leaving your throat. You realize the tentacles are no longer on your face. The dog is wagging its tail, it looks at you waiting for a command. You smile.
"Hunter" you say his name, he gets even happier. "I've missed you"
