- | Jesus was the son of God and represented the incarnation of God on Earth. The coming of Jesus was foretold in the scriptures of the Israelites for many years. Jesus was eventually born to the virgin Mary sometime around 3 A.D.. He grew to be a respected prophet and was known for his encyclopedic knowledge of scriptures. Jesus had been sent to Earth to take the punishment away from mankind. Due to the sin against God, the Human race was destined to burn in Hell for all eternity. Jesus was destined to take this punishment upon himself, providing grace on the Human race that would allow humanity to find their way into heaven. Jesus was eventually turned upon and betrayed by the people he had come to save. After being betrayed by one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Jesus was sentenced to die upon the cross. On the hill of Golgotha, Jesus was crucified and sent to hell for three days to take punishment of men. Following this three day ordeal, Jesus rose from the dead, proving his power over sin and death. This resurrection meant that he had defeated Satan's grip on humanity. Due to this sacrifice of the perfect entity, humanity could be saved by grace through faith, allowing Jesus Christ to take the punishment for them so that they could pass into heaven. After rising from the grave, Jesus ascended into heaven to be with his heavenly father. However, he promised to eventually return to earth to reap all the faithful into heaven and bring about the end of the Earth and Satan's domain. | + | Jesus was a Jew. |
