Juggernaught

The juggernaught is one of the most fearsome of Reach's creations. Only 12 have been spotted in the wild, so little is known about them save the fact that they are dangerous and unstoppable.

Morphology
The juggernaught is a large crystalline entity that looks vaugely like a serrated top. The main body is composed of jagged quartz crystals in a roughly spherical patter. From that core a number of arms (ranging from 5 to 8 depending on the size of the creature) jut out, almost like a saw. These "arms" are little more than solid crystals, sticking 1-2 meters from the main body. Little is known about juggernaughts besides a physical description. Their bodies are transparent, so it is observable that there are no internal organs, or even any alternate minerals. None have been observed ingesting or excreting anything, so their method of generating energy is unknown. Even their movement is a mystery, as they appear homogeneous, and hence would have no way of moving themselves.
Behavior
Few have gotten close to the juggernaught, so behavior is mostly based on conjecture. There have been several attacks on settlements by juggernaughts, most notably the attack on Delta Nova (the only time a juggernaught has been disabled). Scientists speculate that they are drawn to the field generated by power sources, but this conjecture is widely debated, as one of the settlements attacked was an outskirt of a Prime Colony with a major nuclear reactor. All juggernaughts spotted in the wild were simply seen moving in a straight line, regardless of the obstacles in their path.
Attack
Juggernaughts do not so much attack as they do move. Movement is accomplished by spinning the body, and slamming down one of the arms in to the ground. This shatters anything beneath the behemoth, and moves the body forward to slam the next arm in to the ground. Larger specimens have been up to 12 meters tall, with arms 3 meters in length. This can demolish buildings in a matter of seconds, as they literally crash through and roll over anything in their way. Considering that their body is made of crystal, so far only high energy kinetic weapons (such as the Impactor Railgun) have been able do even phase it. They move at roughly 45 km/hr, with larger specimens able to move faster than smaller ones.
Hazards
Little is known about the hazards of a juggernaught. Ones seen in the wild have paid no attention to observers, so it may very will ignore beings close to it. However, no one so far has wanted to risk it.
