The canopy tree is a native plant found largely on the Trobical belt. It looks largely like an old Earth style palm tree, with a narrow trunk and wide, flat leaves. Much of the ecosystem is set up beneath the protection of canopy trees, as leaves provide a shelter against the chemical precipitation.
Note: Reach rubber is made from the refined sap of the canopy tree.
