Magic is the use of Aura energy. People who are able to harness Aura energy may convert it into almost anything, limited only by the amount they can handle. In the case of Seraphim, this amount is almost limitless, making them nearly godlike in power.
Magic plays a large part in Secret of Kelmar, and a lesser part in Blood And Fire, where its use is less common.
Secret of Kelmar
In SoK, anyone can use magic if properly trained. The Aura surrounding that world is particularly strong, meaning that everyone can sense it.
Blood and Fire
In BNF, the ability to use magic is a rare genetic trait. In addition, individuals with the 'magic gene' might never learn to harness it, since some cultures (mostly Otherkin) are wary of teaching those techniques. The Gryphon King who slew The Phoenix was famous for his use of magic.
