RRCon

RRCon (also known as "that totally sweet party Doomy's going to throw in the future") is a planned meetup of all the RR regulars that matter. It is planned for sometime in late summer of either 2008 or 2009; therefore, details are extremely murky about this ambitious gathering. However, a few things are certain:
- It will take place in Fort Collins, CO, or somewhere nearby.
- It will OWN YOUR FACE OFF.
- The aftermath of this event will live on in RR legendry for all eternity. And leave a scar on the world; the likes of which have never been seen before.

Origins
The origins of RRCon were, oddly enough, from Doomy taking advice regarding what to prepare himself for dinner from the entirety of IRRC, which at the time had an unprecedented 18 users in it (partly due to TheWalrus' dramafest). Apparently irritated at the barrage of advice he received, he exclaimed "APPARENTLY, I'M COOKING FOR EVERYBODY IN THE IRC."
And then, in what can apparently be seen as an incredibly common flash of genius on Doomy's part:
DoomInductor: GUYS. Kitteh: I AM CASTING LOCKDOWN ON DI DoomInductor: WE NEED TO ACTUALLY HOLD AN IRC PARTY SOMETIME. lordjanus: WE SO DO Hinoa: INDEED DoomInductor: WE CAN PLAN IT SEVERAL MONTHS/YEARS IN THE FUTURE, SO IT CAN ACTUALLY HAPPEN.
Thus, the concept of RRCon was born.
Plans
As mentioned before, the plans for the party are extremely hazy, due to the fact that it will be held in 2008 or 2009. However, a few details have come to light:
- It will be held in Fort Collins, Colorado, or the nearby area. Doomy has insisted upon this repeatedly, despite Adamjirra's repeated attempts to bring it to New York, and rkMerafel's attempts to move it to Hawaii.
- Where in the Ft. Collins area is up for grabs, however. Ideas have included a renting a house, renting a warehouse, or a country house in Estes Park (near Ft. Collins).
- 1000 Blank White Cards will be played. The results should be epic.
- The party will last anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks. It will tend to run longer though, because we're awesome like that.
