A common occurance is for a member to leave for a while, prompting members to post banners in their sigs. This happened with [[G-Mew]], who was predicted by [[Abwayax]] to come back (she did), and she even posted banners she made herself for people to use in their sigs. Another member, [[Darkness_LordII]], also left at the same time, but no one noticed him because G-Mew was more in the in crowd. A similar thing happened with Glitchy81, who stated that his parents were keeping him off for a few years.

What are Sig fads?

Signiture fads. Or sig fads for short, are a sometimes annyoying fad people put in their sigs. About 60% of Team Rocket's Rockin Forums were against sig fads. While 40% were with sig fads. Glitchy81 was aginst sig fads, but later joined the the opposing side after defeated the idea.

The destroyance of sig fads

Glitchy81, a helpful member of Team Rocket's Rockin Forums made a thread in the debate section called, "Sig Fads". At the end, Glitchy wrote something similar too "Ok, there is now no such thing of sig fads." Glitchy thought someone would protest, but no one replied. No one ever said sig fads for a few months.

Glittermew151 is a well-known crusader of sig fads. She supports the right to conform to the majority.

The un-destroyance of sig fads

It turns out Glitchy81 doesn't have the authority to make decisions for everyone else. Guess what? There still are sig fads. Here is a list:

  • Armies, which are groups of sprites that follow a certain theme
  • "Stop 1337", the newest fad, which is against 1337-Speak.

Things that may or may not be considered fads:

  • Eggs, which encourage people to make more posts to find out what their eggs hatch into.
  • Userbars, which are supposed to express the user's likes and dislikes, but pretty much show how everyone thinks the same way.

Things that are kinda sig fads:

  • Naruto, the most overrated thing to come into existance since Mew Itself. Contarary to popular belief Naruto is not a ninja; he does not lurk around stealthily to assassinate his foes, and would not stand a chance against the scurviest Cabin Boy. Naruto is most commonly associated with depressed people. Perhaps there is a connection between Narutardation and depression. Naruto usually appears in the sigs of people who post and/or like depressing poetry.

Dead sig fads:

  • Weapons, which had something to do with the armies
  • Ninja Text, which everyone found annoying
  • Kevan Brain links, which were disguised as helpful links (eg. "Diamond and Pearl sprites") but lead to a page saying "Your brain was eaten". Brainblocker helped reduce the amount of these links, however (as always) G-Mew fought for the right to disguise bad links as helpful links.

Members Leaving

A common occurance is for a member to leave for a while, prompting members to post banners in their sigs. This happened with G-Mew, who was predicted by Abwayax to come back (she did), and she even posted banners she made herself for people to use in their sigs. Another member, Darkness_LordII, also left at the same time, but no one noticed him because G-Mew was more in the in crowd.

"Anti-Sig Fad" as a sig fad

Some people like to say that it is ironic that the anti-fad movement became a fad on its own. This was not Abwayax's fault.

Some other people don't think anti-fad is a fad unless everyone is using the same image or phrase. These people think that calling anti-fad a fad is like calling text a fad. In other words: It's not a fad.
