Appearance

A shadow wolf is similar to a normal wolf in shape and structure. The only difference is their fur color, which is green with white paws and a black tail.

Biological Characteristics and Abilities

Shadow wolves are biologically similar to a normal wolf, but is much more intelligent and physically apt. They are also capable of Shadow Wolf Magic. This type of magic is unique to shadow wolves, as the name suggests.

Temperament

Shadow wolves tend to be a bit fierce. They tend toward Chaotic alignment and, while they can be great protectors, they also tend toward biting anyone that angers them.

It can be difficult to train a shadow wolf without their consent.

Habitat and Society

Though the actual habitat of a shadow wolf is currently unknown to me (if they have one), they do occasionally spend their time in The Void, but usually only to rest or escape from enemies.

Due to their use as war pets, they are currently a rare species, as their numbers have dropped greatly.

Notable Shadow Wolves

Currently, there aren't many Shadow Wolves at all, so there aren't many to list, however..

Tristan: Another one of the few survivors of the war, He is very unique with his personality and looks surprisingly different from any other shadow wolf, as his tail is green instead of black. He is very skilled in many types of magic, though doesn't focus on a particular one.

Void: One of the few survivors of the war, he is very timid, yet if necessary, will put his life on the line for someone, good or bad. He himself is skilled at alchemy and Shadow Wolf magic, as well as most others, however, he mainly focuses on alchemy and shadow Wolf magic.

Vard: The said shadow wolf god, it is said he created the shadow wolves and their magic to defend them selves. He may appear every once in a while. He dispises most races for using his wolves for war, but is loving and caring towards his own kin. He is very powerful, and can take down nearly anything in time.

Shadow Wolves as Adventurers

A good adventuring party requires a balance of might, attack magic, restorative magic, and speed. Shadow wolves usually have a good balance of all these attributes, making them a good choice for any adventuring party. Though they should usually be kept in the back row, being a magical type of being, they can assume almost any role in the party.
