Rares
A "rare" in quest is an item you find after you have defeated a monster. These include weapons, armor and potions. Only monsters at level 3 and up will drop a rare item. Also, the level of the rare you find is directly tied to the level of monsters you are killing.
Drop Rate
The drop rate of a rare is tied to the level of the monster you are fighting.

Super Rares
A "super" is an extremely rare item with a drop rate of 1/110000 fights and ONLY from monsters level 6 and up. That said, you may find a super within your first 100 fights or it may take you (at least what may seem like) forever.
Facts to remember
Your chances of finding a rare or super rare item depend on the random number generator, because of this you are NOT guaranteed to find anything at any number of fights. The drop rate is random.
