Cerebral disconnection syndrome is a general term that groups a number of neurological disorders together that involve interruption of fiber pathways in the cerebrum. In other words the different types of neurological disorders are due to information being blocked or disrupted and not being properly processed. Such neurological disorders include aphasia, left-sided apraxia, split-brain, and tactile aphasia.
