1. Add 1000mL (1L) DI water to a large beaker.

2. Add 2.5g dried hay (weigh on a glassine sheet so it doesn't touch the scale directly)

3. Place this beaker on the LIVE heater/stirrer in the culture room and lightly boil for ~30min

4. Gravity filter out hay using filter flask and 110mm round Whatman filter paper (934-AH; the cheap stuff) which can be found in the cabinet with the media and LIVE glassware

5. Pour filtered media into autoclavable media bottles with caps loosened and Autoclave. When finished autoclaving, immediately tighten all caps, but not too tight or won't be able to loosen later to open bottle.
