Soil Extract
Make the Soil Extract as follows:
- Put 105 g of soil and 660 mL of deionized water into a 1L-bottle.
- Autoclave for 15 minutes at 15 psi on 2 consecutive days.
- Let contents settle for ~1 week.
- Decant and filter the supernatant liquid.
- Adjust pH to 7.0-8.0 with 1M HCl or 1M NaOH, if necessary.
- Store in Media Cabinet as “CCAP Soil Extract Soln”. (Same as Soil Extract from CCAP ASWP)
Stock Solutions
There are three separate stock solutions made in distilled H2O in this media.
(1) K2HPO4 | 1.0g/L |
(2) MgSO4.7H2O | 1.0g/L |
(3) KNO3 | 10.0g/L |
Label appropriately with concentration and date on the bottles.
Store in 4C walk-in.
