Sometimes when I talk with people about ambitions they seem to interpret the intention of goals as being to get additional points. Naturally factors are imperative but there is so much much more to objective setting that I want to share with you.
Of course it is valuable to have targets for new points ...
Perhaps your dream house by the ocean ...
Possibly a nice shiny new automobile to get you around in style ...
or even a new iPod to listen to your Ambitions Magic CD's on :)
It's really good to set objectives for new items, but not for the items themselves, rather what they will make of you to get them.
But there is one other variety of goal which I want to challenge you to assume about and begin to set. It's soul objectives! Now I know you are asking yourself ... what are soul targets and how do they apply to me and my life? Good query, so come with me and uncover why you will quickly be applying them in your life.
Soul objectives are those goals that are bigger than you! They are targets that effect on other persons and on the globe about you. They are ambitions that you invest your heart and soul into with no any expectation of return. Soul targets are what provides life its passion, goal & which means! Think of Martin Luther King Jnr ... his whole life was devoted to the pursuit of his soul targets! In the end he gave his life for his soul objectives. It requires a mighty target and a might man to give your life to.
What about Mother Theresa? She passionately pursued her soul goals of taking care of those who had been not empowered to look just after themselves. Now I'm not suggesting that you will want to pursue grand goals that have a profound influence on the world about you ... rather, that you look deep inside yourself and acquire one thing that you have a passion to contribute to the world.
What is it that you really feel a sense of need to do a thing about? What trigger can you see oneself adding value to? What community, national or international projects are calling you to them and resonating with you? All of us want soul targets that we can invest our hearts, our minds and our souls into. We all will need to really feel a connection with anything larger than ourselves. Its inherent in our souls to want to give without having expectation of return.
As you search for your soul goals now, open your thoughts and heart to the infinite possibilities to match your distinctive skills, wisdom, specialized understanding, compassion, assets, contacts, networks, creativity, and genius to. As you read these words being aware of what you know about your extraordinary untapped capacity you can get a way to apply it in some way for the greater high-quality.
Seek out your soul objectives! Set your soul objectives! Share your soul ambitions! Pursue your soul targets! Develop your soul objectives! Encourage other individuals to adopt soul objectives! Here is a noble thought ... for each five goals I set for me I have a single soul target to enable thee! Soul ambitions are paying back your debt of gratitude for the high-quality fortune you have to be able to pursue your individual or enterprise ambitions.
So add a tiny soul into your objectives!
