Sihanoukville is a sleepy beach town in Cambodia on the Gulf of Thailand. In December, the beach is a excellent location to watch Mother Nature do her thing in magnificent fashion.
Sihanoukville
Named immediately after a Cambodian King, Sihanoukville isnt effortless to get to, but it is worth the hassle. If youre coming from Thailand, the greatest option is to cross the border at Koh Kong and grab a boat to Sihanoukville. The boat requires roughly 4 hours, but beats taking on Cambodian roads, which are pure hell. If youre coming from any place inside of Cambodia, try to get to the key highway in between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville as it is the only road without having potholes, missing bridges, etc.
