Where we're going
- We are going to the camping spot that some of us stayed at on September long, last year.
- Dustin's been there a few times too and it is marked on his map [here]
- Because the camping site is on a peninsula, we'll need to park our cars and canoe the rest of the way.
- That distance is about 45min, says last year's campers.
Who's going

- Matt Benedet - He may be writing a test that would keep him from camping. We have yet to see.

These are our available canoes:

- We will also need to rent one more canoe from Rushing River Store - someone needs to do this soon (preferably someone with a landline)!
Allison: I nominate Jere/Jake/Alex to do this. However, since Alex has his own canoe, it should probably be Jere or Jake. I would do it, but I don't have a landline and I don't want to make long-distance daytime calls on my cell phone. - Brendan seconds that motion

Tents
- Remember that everything we take will need to be carried to the campsite via canoe so don't bring too much.
- We should plan to share tents,
- To decrease the amount of stuff carried in the canoes
- Because the campsite has few ideal tenting locations - there's really only room for three or four tents on level ground

Discussion:
If there really is only room for three or four tents, there might be a problem with the tent situation as currently proposed...Is this a problem? Will three men be forced to share one tent? How much room really is there? I haven't been to the spot so I don't know, BUT maybe Jake and Allison should split up so that Allison and Kristyn can share a girls-only tent...(?) Someone who's been there should respond to this.
- If Jake and Allison share a tent, there will be only one girl left (Kristyn)
- Kristyn will thus need a tent for herself
- Alex wants to use his own (admittedly tiny) 1-man tent for himself
- This leaves (probably?) only 1 tent spot for the rest of the guys, right?
Cooking and eating supplies
Naturally, we should probably share as much cooking equipment as possible.
Pots and pans:
- Mark's cast pan
- Kristyn has four dish/cutlery sets: I wasn't going to bring them but I will if others want to use them. yes/no?

Adventuring equipment
Rock Climbing
Those who wish will have the opportunity to do some real rock climbing this weekend. Brendan is a certified wall climbing instructor and has his Level 2 rock climbing certification. Mark probably has qualifications like this too.

There are some cliffs worth jumping off of and probably some worth diving off of. We'll just need to find them ourselves.

Schedule
Outgoing
We want to leave on Friday.
Allison: I could meet you guys at the PetroCanada that's just past the perimeter. I could be there by about 5pm. I am available to pack up my car after 9:45pm on Thursday.
Kristyn: I can be in Winnipeg any time on friday. if others have that day off, I can load up during the day with them. if necessary I can even be in Winnipeg very late thursday evening (try 10:30 or 11:00).
Alex: i want to be out by 5, mainly because of daylight, if we leave any later, i think we maybe paddling/ setting up in the dark and i really don't want to do that. get time off if you have to, even hitting that road in the dark could be a problem

- Brendan - entire day off, wants his car to leave noonish if possible
- Kristyn - entire day off. time is no object.
- Allison - 5:00 (at Petro Canada) - this means that the rest of you will have to leave earlier than 5

Allison: Are we camping at the spot that requires an hour-long (ish... I don't remember) canoe trip? That might pose a small problem, given the amount of daylight. I don't know if we'd find the place if we had to paddle across the lake in the dark. Also, now that there are potentially 9 of us, I'm not sure there'll be room for all the tents at that smaller camping spot. There were really only two good flat locations for tents. I totally call the one Jake and I had last time!

Allison: I don't care when we leave. I need to work on Tuesday, so as long as we're back before then, I'm good.
