For all one wants to say about the Poke Combat Academy, battle is a important part of the school.

Battlers must obey the ref at all times. Failure to do so could impact the offender's grade, or even disqualify them.

All battles continue until all of the battlers on one side have either fainted, sustained a critical injury (and are, thus, forced to withdraw), or willingly surrender verbally or physically (by 'tapping out').

While injuring your opponent is part of battling, extreme attempts to harm your opponent (such as blatant shots to the eyes, groin and similarly sensitive areas depending on species) can lead to disqualification or worse.

Held Items are usable, within reason. They have to be previously inspected to make sure they are not doctored or altered in any way. (Those inspecting them will know. Do not think you can outsmart people who've been doing this for decades.)
