The Team
Perhaps something that's ingrained into the nature of pokemorphs is the habit of forming tight social networks that go beyond mere friendship. The concept of the 'team' has been a part of pokemorph history since it was recorded, and even in the over-commercialized present, it is still a vital aspect of social life. In schools, it's all the more important, as being in a team gives that person more of an identity, especially when they're a part of a successful group.
Team Structure
The structure for teams that is considered standard for schools consists of up to four 'primary' and two 'alternates' students. While it's assumed that primaries would have fight priority, team layout for certain fights tends to be more fluid, especially for primaries who might end up being all but useless against a particular type prominent in the opponent's team.
Team Grading
Grading of team performance is primarily about effort. Technique, efficiency, coordination and overall success also factor in, but effort remains the primary portion of the grade.
When a team member fight solo, their performance only impacts their own grade -- basically, for grading purposes, they're treated as an Independent.
Team Uniforms
Generally, teams have their own unique uniforms built around a specific theme and color. While it is possible for the students themselves to provide their own, there are shops specifically geared towards either making them to teams' specifications or providing the materials for students (and adult battlers, as the same companies serve the Leagues) to craft their own.
Battle Standard
The PCA one of the few schools in the world that has such a facility in extremely close proximity -- the rather large complex is built a three-minute walk from the Main Office, and is only a few years old.
Operated by the big-name company Battle Standard, it is effectively a uniform crafting shop loaded with materials -- if a student wants something specific, it can readily custom-ordered and delivered within a matter of days. Customers can either have the facility owners craft uniforms for them or can rent the in-house equipment rooms on an hourly basis. Regardless of how the company's services are used, the prices are dramatically discounted for PCA students, faculty and alumni.
