Shift is when the beads of a row on the abacus are all on one side. There are several types.

[edit] Ko-Single Shift

When the beads on the Alignment Row or Uniformity Row are shifted.

[edit] Ko-Double Shift

When the beads on the Alignment Row and Uniformity Row are shifted.

[edit] Total Alignment

When the beads on the Alignment Row are shifted.

[edit] Total Uniformity

When the beads on the Uniformity Row are positively shifted. (i.e. to the left)

[edit] Total Chaos

When the beads on the Uniformity Row are negatively shifted.

[edit] Further Chaos

When the beads on the Uniformity Row are negatively shifted and those on the Alignment Row are positively shifted.

When the beads on the Uniformity Row are shifted.

[edit] Single Shift

When the beads on any row are shifted.

[edit] Double Shift

When the beads on any two rows are shifted.

[edit] Triple Shift

When the beads on any three rows are arranged.

[edit] Double Positive Shift

When the beads on the Alignment Row and Uniformity Row are positively shifted.

[edit] Double Negative Shift

When the beads on the Alignment Row and Uniformity Row are negatively shifted.
