When Emperor Aduro I decreed that magic was illegal and practitioners were subject to persecution, he enlisted numerous Magical Inquisitors to enforce the ban. Even after the famed assassination of Aduro I, the Magical Inquisitors have continued to work hard to ensure that magic is not practiced in the Lavern river valleys.
