The Academy of Los Angeles has been in existence since the 1880's, nearly as long as the city of Los Angeles itself. The earliest Dragons were instrumental in the creation of the University of Southern California, an action that reflects still today. The Dragons of Los Angeles maintain both interest and control over all colleges and universities in Los Angeles County. Los Angeles' Dragons have continually grown in number, and today they include members ranging from recent converts to seasoned Elders.

The Kogaion of Los Angeles is an Elder Gangrel known as De La Tigre.
