It sure is an amazing thing to have access to any information at our fingertips wherever and whenever at our heart's content. When I was out "in the field" as a home health nurse, the ability to have patient's health record with me was very useful. I used a palm pilot (Tungsten) where I downloaded medical dictionary, ICD codes, drug handbook and common labs and lab values were all helpful. That removed all the hassle of calling the office to check out an information for me or calling the hospital lab to find out a normal value that I have forgotten about. There is so much to remember and having the information with you reduces errors from guessing. Em Comer
