It should not be merged, as it is a different currency in both value, and in denomination forms. It is co-incidence we ahve similar names for our currency. That is why I removed the merge indicator. --Tomahawk 13:41, 21 November 2007 (EST)

I understand your point. However you should instead create a separate section rather than a separate article.

As they both bare the same name and are about currency, tt would make more sense to put the articles together as they do share the same name. You can explain the differences even if they are on the same page pretty much like the following on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollar I would suggest putting something like. 'Although the Alfegosian currency shares the same name as the Damirian currency, the Alfegosian Aureus is...'. I would encourage other users to join in this debate to discuss this.
