History
From the early days of Pinguinum, the currency remained the pound.
With the establishment of the Bank of Pinguinum in 1700, the government with the King's (note: need to check name) authority decided it was time for its own currency.
Needless to say, they went with the obvious choice: Pingu.
Back then in the 18th Century, the coins looked rather diferent
500 note ceased to be elgal tender in 1900
200 note ceased to be elgal tender in 1950
100 note ceased to be elgal tender in 2000
