* It might not be possible to get a xml dump from this wiki at editthis.info, or a dump might not be compatible for import.  In that case, figuring out how and what to copy will be an issue.  Worst case, copy and paste by hand is possible, since Nomicapolis is still fairly small.

* I actually don't care much for mediawiki, and I frankly loathe PHP.  MediaWiki is a pile of hacks that make it hard to write really good extensions, and it's really behind when it comes to the wiki syntax itself.  But on the other hand, it does have a good set of features out of the box, and it's what most people know.  Changing wiki software would be awesomely disruptive, but it's out there as an option, and there might even be better wiki software to use.

I have a few random thoughts, some kind of tangential, but maybe others think the same or have comments:

  • Another option is that Nomicapolis stays put here. That's okay by me if that's what people ultimately want. The pool of interested nomic players is kind of small, so I'm not too interested in starting up another nomic unless I can make it really compelling out of the box (pythonomic certainly suffered from Terminal Failure To Be Interesting)
