The Annexe
- As Verb
- 1. To append or attach, especially to a larger or more significant thing.
- 2. To incorporate (territory) into an existing political unit such as a country, state, county, or city.
- 3. To add or attach, as an attribute, condition, or consequence.
Usage. Avinash Suresh was annexed. The Annexed usualy serve the annexe by providing goods and services and emotional support when required.
- As Noun
- 1. A building added on to a larger one or an auxiliary building situated near a main one.
- 2. An addition, such as an appendix, that is made to a record or other document.
Note: However, with the end of the first year the Annexe ceased to have geographical roots. In the words of the Bard, "The Annexe is a state of mind, not a state of geography".
- As an institution
- 1. Loose geography based identity group comprising of a largely female membership. Founded in 2000.
While the contours of the Annexe and the Annexed have changed over time, there is a general consensus over the members at the time of the founding.
