Different cultures have deified beauty, typically in female forms. Here is a list of the goddesses of beauty in four different mythologies.
- Aphrodite - Greek mythology - - Lakshmi - Hindu mythology - - Venus - Roman mythology - - Karishma - Nepali mythology - - As the clock turned to 10.30 am....sunlight would slowly start filtering into class and in the process, would glance off the gorgeous hair of this stunning Nepali gal which would then turn the words coming out of Prof. Nandimath's mouth into rubbish as far as the boys of class were concerned. This half punju, half nepali goddess took away the hearts of almost every boy in class and college!! - - Causing minor heart attacks by getting a hair cut sometime in the second year, she redeemed herself by scorching the ramp at the year end fashion show! Making Spikey the target of various suicide threats by declaring him the cutest boy in class, this beauty won over the hearts of the faculty as well...especially Prof Ajjappa who claimed she was the only one to have taught him anything!! - - With such fame and attention, anyone could be given some leeway for being snooty and snobbish! But Karishma continued to have her feet firmly in the ground and was one of the sweetest persons on campus. She continues to turn down modelling offers and hopes to go back to Nepal and pursue a career in something different from law!
