Also called the Barbarian, Koko and K, Kannan made his mark in law school by doing everything possible – right from being Joint Convenor of the General Working Committee to doing hmm hmm behind the guesthouse this man has done it all. Key striker of the Football team, excellent basketball player and towards the end of law school wannabe swimmer, Kannan has also managed to prove his cultural skills by dancing with the Eastern Dance team and winning the toe painting contest after which he joined the Cultural and Fine Arts Committee. Towards the end of law school he was seen more often in the company of various ladies from class rather than playing UT or FIFA.

However, Kannan will be most remembered by all of us for his twisted sense of humour. A master of the art saying the most outrageous things with the most deadpan expression, he was a leading member of the 'thassa' committee in the boys' hostel. In the very first week of law school, when no one really knew him, he scared everyone with a story of how, when he got into a quarrel with some classmate back in kerala, he stabbed him and then went to eat ice-cream! Of course, everyone soon learnt to think several times before believing anything he said. Right till the end of his fifth year, he excelled in all sorts of little pranks, and if you were locked into your room, or someone knocked at your door and ran away, you could be sure that you would soon see Kannan walking around looking innocent, before he eventually started grinning impishly. More seriously, though, this demeanour hid a warm, honest and intelligent person, who was always fun to hang out with and fun to talk to.

Kannan came to law school from Trivandrum with a bad haircut, music videos, innumerable games and a pronounced Malayali accent only to leave the place polished, suave, a job in Mumbai and the hottest girl in class. Currently working with ICICI Bank in Mumbai.
