Pikachu is the most famous Pokemon of all and is legally Nintendo's 2nd mascot after Mario. He's over looked by the (very annoyingly) popular swordsmen, and thus, doesn't get the respect he rightfully deserves.
Pikachu is the champion of the 3rd Super Smash Brothers tourtament (titled Smash Tourtaments). He went up against Luigi, who took second place in the tourtament. Pikachu was fortunate enough to get 2nd place in the 1st and 4th Smash tourtaments (being beaten by Mario in the 1st, and Bowser in the 4th). He was defeated (and placed in 3rd place) by Yoshi, who went on to win the 2nd Smash tourtament.
