Revision as of 13:02, 10 October 2006
These pages provide information relating to concerns over the current progress and direction of the NHS's National Programe for Information technology. They have been compiled over recent months by the set of signatories to open letters calling for an independent inquiry into the Prrogramme, as they continued to learn about the Programme, and are made available now to a general readership.
The Open Letter to the Health Select Committee
This letter, signed by twenty-three academics, was sent on ??? April 2006. One of the immediate consequences was that all the signatories received invitations from the Director-General of the National Programme for Information Technology (NPfIT) of the NHS, to discuss the concerns expressed.
Agreed Statement
This statement was issued, and placed on the NPfIT web-site, following the meeting at NHS attended by representatives of the signatories on 20 April 2006.

Second Open Letter to the Health Select Committee
This further letter, by the same signatories, was sent to the Health Select Committee on October 6, 2006.

Bibliography of Published Concerns Regarding NPfIT
This ever-growing set of quotations give just one side of the case, so to speak - no doubt a number of alternative published articles relating to NPfIT could be selected that would paint a somewhat rosier picture.
