A beacon of science and industry

Argos Towers was founded in the 1950s, a time of prosperity and optimism following the second World War. Designed as a series of four towers, each building was dedicated to a different science:

  • Medicine
  • Agriculture
  • Astronomy
  • Meteorology

The Rise and Fall of the Western Empire

During the years of economic boom, the towers filled their purpose well. Much like Harvard Medical School or Johns Hopkins, the Medical tower made breakthroughs often and were reported widely. The other towers made just as many breakthroughs, but were less publicized.
When the first recession came, the Agriculture tower was the first to go. Despite Argos' need for the farms nearby, the rest of the country wasn't as reliant on the technology being created. The building was quickly converted to office space.
The Meteorology tower was next, its downfall coming in the recession during the 2000s. Meteorologists across America mourned its loss.

The Medical Tower

The Medical tower is the only tower that's really still functioning well. It houses Argos' only local hospital, but it's well-equipped enough to survive a zombie apocalypse (see timeline).
