Maman Brigitte is one of the Ghede; that is, she is one of the spirits of the dead. Traditionally, she is married to Baron Samedi; in Argos, she is permanently riding Allison Halloway. Since Allison is somewhat possessed by Maman Brigitte, Samael is attracted to her.

Since being possessed, a dark purple tattoo of the loa's veve has appeared on Allison's left shoulder.
