For the Nintendo Wii

Basic Stuff

This game is a fighting game that takes place in an isometric enviroment. If you have played Sonic Battle or Custom Robo, you know what I mean. When you win fights in any game mode, you win "Randoms" which are the currency of the world the game takes place in. You can then go to the Skirmish Shop and buy characters, courses, and other things.

Gameplay elements

Jumping;

Jumping is not handeled tradionally. After jumping, you quickly decellerate and begin to gently float, slowly falling back to the ground. No attacks work in the air, except special and an aerial dash move. You can also land immediatly at any time by pressing B. A major fighting tactic is to jump, dash, land, and then attack before the opponent can react.

Barriers;

Barriers are simple. You have a limited amount of barrier energy. Once you run out, it can't be recovered. Press C to put up a barrier. You will not be able to move, but you will be protected from most attacks for about a second.

Specials;

Specials are also easy. You simply have to press Z. Each character has two specials, one that is used on the ground, and the other used in the air. However, after using a special, you cannot use one again for 15 seconds, and you get less Randoms if you use specials alot, so use specials sparingly and wisely. The best time to use a special is a defining moment in the match, such as when you and your opponent only have a small amount of health left.

Energy;

In addition to the barrier meter, there is another meter. The energy meter is charged by shaking the Wii Remote. If there is energy in the gauge, when you attack it will be emptied, and extra damage will be dealt to the opponent, more or less depending on how much energy was in the guage.

Combos;

Like in all fighting games, you can perform combo moves. Every character has there own set of combos that they can use. Combos start as either a kick or a punch, and all combos are made specifically to lead of of these basic attacks.
