The Farthest Reach is a movie that takes place twenty years after the events of Warioman: The Lard Knight.
Plot Summary
The movie opens with a flashback of he events in Warioman. A necromancer unleashes his power on a graveyard, zombie users rising from it.
The next day, an aged Warioloaf is telling his son Awrioloaf about the legend of The Bureaucrats. As he does this, Wario sees something, shouts "far reach...!" and crumples over. He is taken to the hospital, leaving a heartbroken Awrio alone. Awrio wanders the house and finds Warioloaf's old Warioman costume. Awrio dons it and begins training to be a superhero.
Meanwhile, the grave of Wayoshi has been found empty...
Hours later, the Necromancer mentioned earlier attacks Awrio's house for unknown reasons. Awrio, in his Warioman costume, defeats the Necromancer in a fierce duel on the roof of Wario Mansion. The necromancer falls off and dies. Awrio is then attacked by a zombified Wayoshi. As they fight, Wayoshi says, "And do you know what your father did? He did it to anyone else who-" but then Wayoshi slips and crashes off the roof, but vanishes before he hits the ground. Awrio visits his father in the hospital, but all Wario will say is "Beware the Farthest Reach.... beware..." Awrio goes to the old florist shop where Wario used to work and finds it has been destroyed. A message is written in blood there: BEWARE THE FARTHEST REACH!
Awrio tries to leave, but a stange, fat, masked person sets the undead Wayoshi on him. Awrio fights Wayoshi, who tries to tell him yet again what it was his father did, but the mysterious masked fat guy yells "BEWARE THE FARTHEST REACH!" which distracts both wayoshi and Awrio. The fat man finally tells Awrio his name: Farthest Reach. Awrio unmasks him and discovers that The Farthest Reach is the Penguin. Penguin reveals that he has created a device that can bring people back to full life: true life, not just zombie life. Awrio allows penguin to escape but secretly follows him and Wayoshi back to the lab. But he's too late: Penguin has made himself and Wayoshi fully living people. He fights them, and this time Wayoshi reveals what exactly Wario did. "Your father... you thought he was some saint, didn't you?! He KILLED ME! HE KILLED MEEEEEE!!" Awrio is horrified; Wayoshi knocks him out the window. Awrio manages to climb back up and attacks the Penguin. Finally, Awrio kills the Penguin with his own umbrella... but Wayoshi escapes with the Return-To-Life device. Awrio lets him go.
Critical Reaction
The movie was recieved mostly well, howeve some said that it had been used merely as an excuse to bring Wayoshi back to life, and to offer life to the others who died in Warioman. Murzon Lastice, the director, denies this. "We simply wanted to make a new movie in the same continuity as Warioman, rather than the ordiary wiki continuity." He also says that he "hated the idea of having a Batman villain be in the movie, but we didn't have much of a choice." Tell us what you think here
