Matt Hagen was an old mob-boss before The Kingpin threw him into a pod of liquid plastic to get him 'Out of the way". Unknown to the Kingpin, Hagen survived and turned him into the creature he is today ... CLAY FACE.
He vowed revenge on Kingpin. But as he was toget his rvenge, Kingpin offered him medical treatment for his deformity if he would kill [{Warioman]].
