Sonja developed her powers as a natural psychic during early high school. It made her teen experience somewhat more awkward than normal. However, she quiet and secretly practiced with her ability until she had far better control over it. Now that she's in college, she's more relaxed about her power. She still doesn't openly advertise it, at least not yet, but the recent Good Samaritan law has given her some push to come out about what she is.
