Well, it's pretty simple. Let's eplain the two types of current meta engines, clusteres or whatever you want to call them:

  1. The "remixers": These are the engines that take results from other engines and remix them by what they think are the best results (usually by rank of each result across the search engines).
    1. The good: you see all the results on one page.
    2. The bad:
      1. who says the remixers know how to remix?
      2. you loose the functionality of the original provider because the results are shown on the remixer interface which is usually stripped clean of the usefull extra features like "cache".
