Many members joined, including Rapi, Toa Ouranos Shamayim and Daikunus. The comics at this stage were mostly based on small domestic issues, with the occasional appearance of an actual Bionicle character. On the 8th of April 2006 Bepura joined the group, introducing the concept of three-dimemsional backgrounds and a running storyline. Everyone had fun adapting to this story, and MoD Community Comics entered its golden age. Over time many members stopped making comics. Currently there are 5 active authors: Bepura, Rekteha, Toa Ouranos Shamayim, Abyss and Veno Galius (joined the team on 12th November, 2006). Some of the inactive authors such as Rapi, Liang and Aegis still follow the comics and their characters still remain important parts of the storyline.

History

Mask of Destiny Community comics first came into being when Aegis (then under the name of Voporak) posted the topic, encouraging other members to join him.

Recently, Brogen, Toa of Magic has begun remaking the comic series in his own format. Brogen was also the second member of the comics.

Story

SPOILER WARNING

Chapter 1: Rough Beginnings

Comic 1: [The early days]

The storyline of the Mod Communtiy comics started when Bepura first steped into the "MoD city appartments", symbolic of his joining the team. Kopaka Lady helped him by giving him the essentials for his comic-making carreer, almost crushing him in the process.

Comic 2: [A little light housework... and some unexpected visitors]

Bepura sat in his bedroom, contemplating what he would unpack next. He decided to install his kitchen sink. Meanwhile, at the foot of the building a mysterious individual ploted to murder him. Aegis arrived at Bepura's appartment, offering to help him install the kitchen sink. The mysterious figure reached the kitchen window, just as Bepura steped to far and accidentally smashed the window with the kitchen sink, sending the stranger falling from the window. In the end, Aegis offered to pay for window repairs.

Comic 3: [Exciting plans and E-mails en masse]

Bepura, Aegis, Kopaka Lady, Daikunus and Bidrake were dicussing plans for a very large party. Bepura sent many invitations by e-mail. Many people recieved invitations (the comic effectively introduced many new characters: Huhnopu, Seaharu, Leehkmou, Jeaku, Lauha, Averwhi, Apatuh, Stahonic and Mohvri). It was vaugely hinted at that Mohvri sent information about the party to Lekerua, now revealed to be the stranger in comic 2. Lekerua recieved the information and begun plotting. Rapi also got an invitation, and reacted hysterically by jumping out the window.

Comic 4: [A party of large proportions...]

Bepura's welcoming party was in full swing. Everyone was enjoying themselves and as Aegis said "So far nothing bad has happened... appart from Rapi drinking all the coke, that is." Apatuh then brought out his oversized novelty pie, encouraging everyone to snack on it. Rapi excitedly ran to the pie, pushing Apatuh out of the way. To everyones surprise, Lekerua sprang forth from the pie, wielding a machine gun, holding Rapi by the throat and making some, as Bepura put it, "extremely unfair" demands... This comic was the first to introduce the 'talk only' panel. Several caracters including Toa Ouranos Shamayim, Brogen and Calana (the drummer) made their first appearances in this comic.

Comic 5: [Dealing with gate crashers]

The action now reverted to the streets. Lekerua taunted Rapi and Bepura, attacking them with her shadow elemental power. Luckily, Bepura and Rapi dodged her attack. They immediately fired their own volley of power back at Lekerua, only for her to block it with her shield. Rapi and Bepura realised that they couldn't win this fight alone:

Yeah, if we ever want to experiance the smooth, creamy taste of Vanilla Coke again we need some serious help... -Rapi

Comic 6: [OH FOR THE LOVE OF COKE!]

Lekerua continued to taunt Rapi and Bepura (but Rapi moreso). Unexpectedly Averwhi entered the scene of the battle, bringing with her the other party guests- fully armed and filthy. Lekerua knew she was beaten, but did not escape without leaving her mark. Before beaming herself out of vicinity she shot Rapi and Bepura. Shadrahk, who was late for the party, stumbled upon the scene of discord, saying "Hey guys! I didn't know the party was out here... OH MATA NUI!!!".

Comic 7: [Hospitalized]

Rapi and Bepura were lying in hospital beds shortly after Lekerua's attack. Everyone was bored, including Averwhi, who had brought them to the hospital with the assistance of Shadrahk. It suddenly occured to Bepura that Anayra, a very skilled healer, worked in the hospital. Averwhi left to find Anayra. She came back with Anayra five hours later, after being "mistaken for a heart surgery patient". Anayra healed Rapi and Bepura with her mask of healing, but not for no charge...

Chapter 2: The Hunt

Comic 8: [Shadows]

After Lekerua escaped the scene of the shooting, Rekteha followed. He and Lekerua engaged in a furious battle, culminating in Rekteha getting the full throttle of a shadow blast. Rekteha proudly proclaimed "Darkness can't hurt me!" Lekerua left, promising to continue their fight.

Comic 9: [Diary]

Rekteha invited Rapi and Bepura back to his place after they left the hospital. He and Aegis gave them some pie, which Rapi gladly ate. Bepura however, was in Rekteha's room, apprently reading his diary. To this Rekteha did not react well...

Comic 10: [Theft]

Bepura, Rapi and several others were gathered in Bepura's room, enjoying the nice day. Suddenly, Bepura spotted Lekerua outside and they went out in pursuit of her. Lekerua did not expect this, so she had to find a way to make a break for it. Not too far away, Braydakra (first appearance) was telling tall tales, trying to impress Michehyre(another first appearance). In their brief moment of distraction Lekerua stole Braydakra's car and drove away. Rapi and Bepura arrived on the scene of the theft, but too late. Michehyre, who turned out to be Lekerua's closest friend, was shocked at her antics...

Comic 11: [Proposal]

Braydakra's car carreered over the edge of a cliff. Lekerua teleported out to escape the flaming wreckage. Before she could do anything else a shadowy figure materialized next her. Abyss offered Lekerua an army in exchange for her alliegence, then left, giving her time to consider...
