I thought so much of Modpedia that I elected to establish my Administration here, using the same software that runs Wikipedia, so thoughtfully provided by our benefactors. I have been proud to call Modpedia my home. And so, whether you are here to stay, or passing through on your way to parts unknown, Welcome to Modpedia. It's safer here.

Modpedia was launched as a Bionicle fan project on the 27th of October, 2006. It was created by Zanarh, with the idea from Aegis. They are both now the Co-founders of Modpedia.

Modpedia is a Bionicle encyclopedia, created by Zanarh, and first thought of by Aegis. Modpedia is influenced by the popular Bionicle website, Mask of Destiny, or MoD as it is affectionately known by the members. The Forums of the website is known as Forum of Destiny, or FoD for short.

The Administrator of the Modpedia is code-named Korona, which is controlled by Zanarh and Aegis. Their posts can be identified by the "~Z" and "~A" signs. A new addition is Violet Tonks who is now also an Administrator of Modpedia.

• In Case You Missed It

Posted by Richard on June 15, 2007: Cyan has posted many great MoCs on our forums, but his Weapon Forge Topic has a few must see-creations. BIONICLE® MoCs are often about creating a character rather than a ship or vehicle (or just about anything else you want so long as the parts are available), so the tools they use often get overshadowed. I think I've seen too few creative weapons and tools, but the few I have seen were great, and had thier own topic rather than being a topic about who wielded them. I'm looking foward to seeing some new equipment MoCs, especialy more of the working tools with mechanisms.

Discussion: Ways to Improve MoD As you all know, BZP beats us in terms of news and popularity, how do we become more popular? Well, instead of trying to beat them on their terms, let's see what we're already good at:

1. The site is generally better suited for people who are more mature, and is( or was at least) recognized by the LEGO company.
2. Site staff members do not have uncontrollably large egos,(I.e. are not self-centered),do not ban people for criticizing them, and often respond to the posts of new members, instead of only paying attention to well known members.
3. Though we do horribly on covering official stuff(not to say we shouldn't cover official stuff), there are often "MoC spotlights" and other non-official stuff. Having a fan-fiction Wiki(In other words, a wiki for characters and such) would give us an edge against BZP, and I don't think making the existing Mod-pedia(respectively) official would work so well...don't start a debate over this.
4. Our forum does not look like "a clown exploded all over it".In other words, does not have seizure inducing graphics, or if you prefer, it sticks to a color scheme.
5. Our forum does not consist of mis-behaved five year olds that can't spell.Not to say younger fans should be prohibited from the site.

• Members are not banned for the slightest offenses, and are forgiven when they begin to behave.

Now here's what we could do:

1. Start a podcast (Modcast?)
2. Make a fan-fiction Wiki(as mentioned before)
3. Building tips
4. Mask Of Destiny Movie...you know, stop motion animated, with MoCs.Well, okay, it may be a while until we should think about that.
