Cygwin

  2. Install the following packages from the cygwin installer

    2. python
    3. vim
    4. chere
    5. openssh
  3. Setup context menu [12] [13]
    chere -in -t xterm -s bash -e "Open xterm here"
  4. Added the following to ~/.bashrc
    PATH=$PATH:/cygdrive/c/Program\\ Files/PixeLINK/PixeLINK+/Release
    export PATH

MikTeX

  1. Download Basic MikTeX 2.8 installer from [14]


Linux

  1. Installed ubuntu 9.04 using the Wubi installer
  2. Installed additional language packages, as suggested on the first login
  3. Configuring evolution
