My Comments:
The good ol' Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. It absorbed my childhood along with Street Fighter II. no customizations, crappy 3D Graphics, no story... why is this a good game? simply because it's just some good ol' skool skating. 5 goals per level, and 3 competitions. Still, I had some great times with Buckey Lasek in Downhill Jam. if it were the 1990's, I'd definatley recommend this game. now I recommend you to play Tony Hawk's Underground 2 and Tony Hawk's Project 8.
