BTB Stories

This show, more than the others, presented a set of real challenges. Beauty and the Beast is arguably the most technically ambitious show MCHS has ever attempted - which would have been enough, but add the following and it became a real race to the finish!

  • 6 days lost to cast and crew due to adverse weather
  • Safety inspection causing the electrics to be locked off
  • Our lumber supplier going out of business mid show (after unloading some of their worst lumber on us)
  • The drop track loaded up with the wrong size rollers, discovered after the drop was hung
