Torque is a [[spiketop]] who joins [[Luigi]] in his adventure to save [[Princess Eclaire]].He first appears in [[Paper Mario:the Thousand Year Door]].Despite being a spiketop,he doesn't have a spike on his shell and has a wrench instead.He is also able to change the tool on his shell giving him a reputation as a great mechanic.Before joining Luigi,he lived on [[Circuit Break Island]],the home of extreme racing.Luigi came by and learned that a race was going on and the winner would obtain a piece of the [[Marvelous Compass]],which he needed.He was paired with Torque in a double kart race which they quickly won.You see,Luigi accidently went in reverse crashing into and destroying the other karts,thus winning by default..Torque followed Luigi journey until he could pay off for all the damage he caused.
