Crystal Sea
From Mardecristal
The Crystal Sea (Mar de Cristal) is a large arm of the North Atlantic Ocean between the North American mainland and the Newfoundland Peninsula.
The mouth of the sea is usually recognized as extending from Île Saint-Jude and the La Luz Peninsula on the east, and Cape Hatteras on the west. Its shores, clockwise from the southwest, belong to the countries of Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Netherland of the Philadelphian Union, Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, Massachusetts Bay, The Maritimes, New Wales, Mar de Cristal, and France (department of Île Saint-Jude).
Major arms of the Crystal Sea include Pamlico Sound, Chesapeake Bay, Delaware Bay, Long Island Sound, the Bay of Fundy, Musquodoboit Bay, and the Gulf of Rosas.
In Spanish, a distinction is made between the country and the sea for which it is named by using the article for the sea (una vista del Mar de Cristal) but not the country (un ciudadano de Mar de Cristal).
