Yerba Buena (La Luz Metro)

Yerba Buena metro station is a Metro de La Luz station serving La Luz Metro Line 1.

It is located in the Delegación de San Gregorio, with entrances on the Paseo de San Gregorio at Calle Alta de la Yerba Buena and Calle Alta de Cuba.

It is named for the plant called yerba buena ("good herb"), or wild mint, Mentha arvensis. The Calle Yerba Buena, of which this street is a continuation, runs through the Plaza Santa Bárbara, which contained a market at which such herbs were sold for cooking and medicinal purposes.

It serves the Playa San Gregorio, the Iglesia de San Gregorio and the Punta San Gregorio.
