Backstory

from Constantinople, from a wealthy corporate family that worked with a security firm. And then they crossed the wrong people and his family ended up dead, and he fled Constantinople before he ended up dead too. Now he's in America and a runner, and really wants those people dead. :D

personality

Zayn, on the surface, seems to be serious and intensely focused, which is half-true, as well as with a very real appreciation for dark humor and sarcasm. He's often serious (more true after the death of his family) and when he focuses on something, damn, is he focused, usually while he's working. He's also a very rational, logical thinker, a believer in that rational discourse is the key in understanding the world, intelligent, curious, and inquisitive.

He seems cold sometimes, but it's less actual cold and more the fact that he is, beneath everything, a traumatized young man who just lost his family: emotional detachment is easier for him, and woe betide anyone who manages to actually make him angry.
