[edit] at the end of days

Kairos was once the son of scholars, who lived in the city of Ameraille, the city of scholars and thamaturges. He was good at subtleties, at finding things and secrets out that others had a hard time locating and perhaps he would have been someone someday, except when tragedy happened in the form of the Ashen Maiden, the Solar necromancer who had once been a patrician princess of the Dynasty, who led her army of zombies to the peaceful city and annihilated it.

And Kairos was unable to protect anyone. He couldn't protect his family, nor the girl he loved, and in the end, he failed even to die to join them, when a demon whispered promises of power to him, the power for if not revenge, to give him something, a purpose.

And despairing, he accepted, and was transformed.

Unfortunately, he found that he was in for more then he had expected, as not only was he in service to Sacheverell, the One Who Sees The Shape of Things To Come...his shard had been stolen, and the other Yozi were less then thrilled about this.

Oy vey.

[edit] who will be there to remember who we were

Kairos is quite conflicted. He was, before he Exalted, a pleasant young man, not ambitious, slightly directionless but reasonably okay with it, certain that he'll have time to figure out what he wanted to do with his life.

He still is a pleasant young man, most of the time, or at least tries to be, though what is left of his humanity is almost warring with the part of him that is a demon: walking the thin line between, for now, and at time the conflict in him is stressful, driving him towards losing control. He has a purpose now, to help awaken Sacheverell, but is ultimately fatalistic, as his communion with his patron taught him: if in the end, everything is absolute, destiny itself will freeze, then what is the point? If all your struggles come to nothing, the struggles of a puppet on its strings, then why bother?

[edit] when the sun burns out will any of this matter;

Kairos is quite slim and is not very tall, though he isn't exactly short, either, and is far stronger then he looks, wiry strength layered beneath slenderness, with dusky skin, beautiful-but still masculine-features and long dark hair, which he usually wears tied back. Across his skin are the marks of what he gained during his transformation, esoteric-looking green and black tattoos, a sutra of a future promise, and marks of power scrawling across his skin that glow in the dark. All over his body, and even on his face.
