KI5rtr Read, of course, far from my topic. But still, we can work together. How do you feel about trust management?!...
Description
Tall-about 6'2"-and slender, lithe, with short, neatly cut deep red hair and the star-flecked red eyes that mark him as a Chosen of Battles, Scarlet Sky is a strikingly beautiful young man of obvious Dynastic heritage, and porcelain-pale skin, always frowning or serious, never smiling: while he is rather pretty, even deceptively delicate with wiry strength layered beneath, he is still not able to be mistaken for a girl. He dresses plainly and modestly, in stark, unflattering white, with no ornamentation, showing no skin except for his hands and face, despite the standards in heaven for fancier clothing that shows more skin. His bearing is rather military, and his posture always perfect.
Serious, disciplined, and quiet, Sky is usually quite calm and focused, though with a tendency for the sarcastic. He tends to put his foot in his mouth, or commit some kind of social faux pas fairly often, if not every time he opens his mouth, unable to lie or hide things in any other way then just not talking about it: he is as easy to read as an open book, beyond honest, as well as being an abrasive asshole. He tends to get physically violent if touched, and blushes easily if asked about sex or hears people talk about it in in an open fashion: he's very much of a prude sometimes, and while he can handle subtle innuendo-as well as exchange it with Marius-, anything more then that gets him very flustered.
History
The Sidereal now known as Scarlet Sky was born Cathak Sariel, the youngest son of one of Cathak Cainan's many, many grandchildren. He was never the child his parents wanted: while he was exceptionally good at anything to do with tactics, swordplay, and martial arts, he was a ridiculous failure at anything social, not at all subtle, too blunt, just all around socially retarded. And on top of that, he did not Exalt as a Dragon-Blooded.
He was removed from primary school at the age of nine, within a few months after he was sent, for predicting the total and complete ruin of the family of one of the students in his class in the middle of a recital-and it came true. Twice. As said classmate was a Tepet, and he had ended up predicting not only the ruin of her immediate family, but the ruin that would come in a few years at the hands of the Bull of the North. From then on, he was kept at home and away from everyone else, going through tutors like water, kept in seclusion for seven years.
Perhaps he would have been destined to join the legions as a mortal soldier, and die in his House's name, or been some Dragon-Blooded woman's lovely mortal husband, or even possibly sent to the Immaculate Order because of his prophetic abilities, except that when he was sixteen, he Exalted as a Chosen of Battles, after angering his older sister, by telling the truth when she asked him whether her new dress made her look fat. The Bronze Faction found him right away, since he Exalted in the Imperial City, and had him trained.
It did not take long for him to get into trouble. His sifu, attempting to beat social graces into him, dragged him to a party the month after he finished his year and a day training: a high-ranking Chosen of Serenity named Summer Silence took a fancy to him, rather strongly attracted to him, and Sky was having none of it, for not only was he still a virgin, but he did not like Silence, and did not believe in having sex with someone he wasn't in love with. After an evening spent with the Serenity feeling him up, the groping eventually leading to borderline molestation, Sky finally lost his temper and broke Silence's wrist, in front of a lot of witnesses.
That resulted in Sky's salary being reduced, him being placed on longer probation (as he was already on probation for being a newbie Sid), and him being given some really crappy jobs: his current assignment, as Overseer of Arguments in the South, really, really, sucks. He escaped with only this comparative slap on the wrist because Silence belonged to the Gold Faction: which was lucky, for him.
However, Sky did get something reasonably good out of it. While he was in the South, on his first assignment, which was to find the Essence-user disrupting the Tapestry in Chiaroscuro, he met a young, Fae-Blooded man named Marius, and eventually fell in love with him. And slept with him.
And then he found out he was a Solar. In fact, the very Essence-user who was disrupting Fate. Well.
Now, Sky is faced with the problem of keeping his relationship a secret, keeping Marius's status as a Twilight secret, and the subtle dance of balancing love with duty.
