James and Marie Rakoric

James and Marie Rakoric are the godparents of the Relforsian captain, Tiko Rakoric. They raised him after his mother abandoned him at their doorstep. They gave Tiko their last name and raised him as their son. Only in the last year did they reveal to Tiko his parentage, and Tiko accepted it easily.

James

James is a blacksmith in the small town of Sahntus. He is of Darodin heritage, and is a stout supporter of the empire. He served in the military of Darodin for most of his adult life, and now lives a quiet life in Sahntus caring for his wife. His father, Brogan, was a Relforsian man who married into a Darodin family.

Marie

Marie is a stay at home wife, because of her crippling back injuries. When Tiko was about 15 years of age, she slipped on a wet stone on top of a staircase in the streets of Arcis and tumbled down, breaking several backbones in the process and loosing all mobility beneath her waist. She generally stays in her bed at their small cottage, quilting and writing poetry which she hopes to get published someday. She is of Relforisan heritage.
