Ahturacht's head of government is the nation's Father.  He is elected from a broad group of nobility known as the Denaht (the Associate's in Common).  He wields most of the power of the nation by administering the nation's dominions (or departments), by appointing leaders and managers.  The Dominions consist of members from the Denaht and their assistants.  They manage land, feudal systems, trade, and defense.  Each city is run by a special dominion as well.  However, the government is largely handsoff as the nations people devotely follow religious law and custom, and it manages most of the larger nation.

Geography

Ahturacht is located on the interior of the continent, south of Sharnea and north of Darodin. The region is mostly mountainous, and home to many Blood Spawn. The Ahturach built their cities close to one another due to the terrain and danger of Blood Spawn invasion.

The Ahturach have no offensive military, unlike their Darodin cousins to the south, due to religous and safety issues. Even if they wanted to attack other nations, it would leave their cities open to Blood Spawn incursions. Most cities have a dedicated force to dealing with the BS and the forces do have communication through large drum towers situated throughout the mountainous region.

Architecture

The Ahturach people are known for their architectural ability. The generally build dark structures, with many unique features. Their buildings generally are composed of arched walls, arched windows, butresses, flying buttresses, and stained glass windows.

Their interiours are generally pristine white. They believe their architecture represents the world...the world is a dark place, but their church is pure.
